Busway, buzz off....

I've been stressing out lately, not because of my works nor my personal problems, but because of the busway construction along my way from home to the office and vice versa. Don't get me wrong, I do like the fact that there'd be a busway from my home to the office, it's just that due to the construction, it takes an hour and half to go to the office and home. Normally, it would take only 40 minutes to go to the office by car, and take 30 minutes to go home by small bus.

There was even one time, when the traffic was so bad because of the construction, that I had to spent 2 hours on the way home. Doh! Actually the construction is not only of the busway, but also monorails, although only along in the street where my office is, so I guess you could imagine how stressful it is. Aarrghh....

However, I appreciate the government of Jakarta for their plan to create more MRTs in the city. Within the next few years, the residents of Jakarta would probably less use their cars that they choose the public transportation. As a result, less traffic. That's the plan. But.....what if there's a flood (who happens often here)??????

more things to do and think about, gov......:D

Big Make Over

hi, it's been a while - well a long time actually - since i'm writing this blog of mine. I've been occupied with some projects at the office that I could barely open the internet and.....well ok, stop...that's not it, I just didn't know what to write :D.......

Anyway, inspired by a friend of mine who has been living a healthy life since a couple of months ago, I decided to do the same. I saw her now as a new fresh and healthy woman with great body, while she used to smoke and nibble snacks quite a lot and hate sport.

I'm not one of those skinny and tall women, I even look chubby, yet I'm comfort with the way I look. It is just I don't look fresh and gets tired easily and often gets stomache due to my liking eating what people consider as unhealthy food. Besides, people whom I love suggested me to lose some weight for I would look younger. NOT a bad advice at all, in fact a great idea that I need to make a big chance....big make over.

I've been starting this diet program since two weeks ago and working out quite regularly. I choose healthy vegetable soup as my meal and fruits, such as papaya *big help for people having bad digestion*, apple, strawberry or even tomato, as my snacks. I avoid junk food and afternoon snacks that often provided at my office. Also, I avoid rice as my main meal, as from what I read, it contains a great deal of glucose, which makes our weight grows rapidly *is it just a myth or...?* and I try to drink more mineral water, avoid pop.
However, it is not always a grueling process. I give some slack to myself that I eat yummy food during the weekend, ON CONDITION that no junk food!

For women who wish for a make over, do not forget to have skin treatment or hairspa. You don't need to go to those big budgeted treatment centre, you could do it just at home. As for me, I do simple facial once a week and put peeling mask after cleaning my face, and also do some luluran (body scrubs) with the scrub that you could buy at any supermarket. Don't forget to smear olive oil over your body. It is good to keep you from dry skin.

As a result, I've lost 2 kilos of my weight and I haven't got stomache (hopefully not ever!) ever since, as well as I don't get tired easily now and sleep well. My face looks a bit fresher and my skin is smoother now. Nonetheless, I'm far from a really healthy life, but I'm still taking the road and still many homeworks to be done. The thought and efforts that count.
