Surprise From A Friend

I am and have always been a fan of The Outsiders, both the film and the book. It basically and simply tells a story of gang war between a bunch of poor Greasers (gang of man with greasy hairs) and the Socs (gang of rich n high society man), but the characters are strong that I love it so much.

I already have the book, but I could not ever find the film which was produced in 1983, not even in Glodok, heaven for movie freaks…like me haha. I’ve searched the vcd or dvd since long time (not since 83 though, coz I haven’t even been born ^_^), but no avail.

Until…..

this one day afternoon, a best jugul friend of mine, si Kal-El, informed me, with his wicked n satanic grin, I believe *lol*, that he had a copy of the film and asked me to grab it as immediate as possible. Psyched, excited of course. Hurraay….hurraayy!!!
I hardly knew what to say…definitely speechless.

After long grueling minutes of listening to his narcissm haha, I finally had it, had the film I’ve always wanted to see (again). Thank you so much, man….you make my wish came true. Love you, man… *ok, that’s it. This is supposed to be the aawww moment, but you can laugh now! Yeah, you can…haha*

As a double surprise, he also gave me soundtracks of 80s TV series, such as Growing Pains, Full House and our favorite, soundtrack of the series The Greatest American Hero *yes, we’re weird…^_^ (but he’s weirder haha)*….

Moral of the day: Do not stop having dreams, coz someday it might come true…amen.

Cintapuccino; Ciwi.....Cambu....Kulilayaa....

Gw sangat cinta sama buku yg bisa dibilang pionir chick lit Indonesia, Cintapuccino, yg ditulis Icha Rachmawaty. Makanya ketika diangkat ke layar lebar (dgn judul sama) oleh sutradara Rudy Sudjarwo, gw n temen2 yg jg fans chick lit itu bela2in nonton di bioskop.
Jujur aja hati kita deg2 plas jg pas mo nonton. Norak ya...abis jd hantu penasaran, ngebayangin gimana ya Cintapuccino kalo dibuat bentuk bergeraknya.

Inti ceritanya sih simple, cewe yg CLBK ama High School Sweetheart alias pacar SMA, well... dlm hal ini sih idolanya wkt SMA, ketika udah mau nikah. Tp yg menarik sbnrnya kisah2 flash back ke jaman2 SMA yg ngelakuin tindakan2 tolol demi dekat dgn idolanya. Masuk ekskul Keamanan hny krn dia liat idolanya msk ke kelas utk promo ekskul tsb. Waduuuh....gw bngt! Ssst....sdikit rahasia, gw wkt SMA msuk ekskul Paskibra krn kakak kelas promo ekskul ke kelas daku. Ya ampiuun, mirip! *blush*

Eniwei, filmnya sndiri lumayan menghibur dan alur crita berjalan pas, tapi.... castingnya bener2 ngerusak! Daku ga tau knp Rudy Sudjarwo ato tim-nya bisa kebobolan milih aktor2nya. Tokoh Rahmi, si cewek, diperanin Sissy Pricilia yg menurut gw terlalu muda utk karakter wanita 25th yg dah mandiri n mapan. Aktingnya sih bolehlah, tp dia keimutan jdnya karakter ini terlihat ga menarik. Dan yg paling ngerusak adalah tokoh Nimo, si idola, diperanin oleh Miller (whoever that is). Wlpun Nimo itu digmbarin Bahasa Indonesianya beraksen, krn kelamaan di Brunei, Miller ini pun memiliki aksen kebule2an. Utk nyebut kata cewek jd terdngar ciwi....kata gue cabut dulu ya jadi giuwe cambu dulu ya...kata kuli lah ya jd kulilayaa. Alhasil aktingnya jd kaku.

Kita pikir kita hny subyektif menilai aksennya itu yg “ngrusak”, ternyata sluruh isi bioskop yg nonton film itu sptnya berpendapat sama. Setiap si Miller ini bicara, kita semua di bioskop bisa ketawa terpingkal2, dan pas suatu adegan dimana seharusnya jd momen yg indah, menegangkan dan sharusnya bikin cewe2 pada aaawww…tanda haru, bisa2nya semua dlm bioskop berbisik seru “duh plis plis jgn ngomong….stop stop”, mengacu pd Miller. Tiba Miller akhirnya mengeluarkan suara di saat menegangkan, semua tertawa ngakak…dan ada yg ngomong (including me & friends) “Huaa rusaakk….” Hahahaha

Stlah 1,5 jam lebih nonton, akhirnya kita keluar bioskop........dgn tertawa2, skaligus kecewa.... :(
